Because of its raised form, a scar is highly exposed to the sun. Besides dehydration, the greatest threat to injured skin or a scar is presented by sun radiation. Its composition protects the skin from destructive UVA and UVB radiation on two levels.
LEVEL 1: As a primary surface shield, combining the latest generation of the encapsulated UV filter to protect the skin surface.
LEVEL 2: As a secondary deep shield, where the natural cell protective factor - ECTOIN, providing UVA protection, prevents DNA damage to skin cells.

If necessary, KELOSUN® is applied to the problem area several times and spread like the sun-bathing cream.
Since protective creams are rinsed off the skin by sweat, we recommend that the cream be applied every hour in case of extensive bathing or swimming to provide for optimal protection.

CAUTION!
Becose of the changed EU rules, there is no SPF (Sun Protection Factor) printed on the tube. According to the new EU directives there should only be stated HIGH for SPF 30-50 and VERY HIGH for SPF 51-71. This decision has however changed for the new products. We are going to complement tubes with boxes where SPF is printed. This will take some time, and is expected to be available in autumn.
